Dr. Sarah Seiwert (formerly Plants) graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) at St. Kitts in 2020. She grew up on a farm and wanted to be a vet since she was very young. Her passion was set in stone at 5 years old when their family vet, Doc Lacey, came to the farm to help a cow with a stillborn calf. Doc Lacey explained everything that he was doing, all the medications and the procedures to the young Dr. Sarah and she never looked back. When Dr. Sarah was 9 years old, her dad had to have her reach into another cow having trouble delivering her calf to loop a rope around the calf’s legs so they could pull it out.
In short. Dr. Sarah has been giving veterinary care since before she could drive.
After she graduated from RUSVM, she worked at Potter County Veterinary Clinic for 3 years. In the summer of 2023, our neighbors at Gypsy Soul Nutrition let us know that she was looking to make a change and we snapped her up immediately. Because she is here, we are able to be open 7 days a week as a daily resource for urgent care for your pets.
Dr. Sarah recently married Ryan Seiwert and they live on a farm in PA. Ryan works in concrete and, thus, provided a solid foundation for their new lives together. She has three cats named Larry, Moe and Luna and two dogs named Gertie and Earl. She also has 6 goats, 3 chickens, 3 ducks, 2 turkeys, 2 pigs and 1 cow. (She does NOT have a partridge in a pear tree, but she DOES have a budgie who lives with her mom and won’t be budged.)
