What People Are Saying About EMUVC

If you’d like to let us know about YOUR experience at EMUVC, send us an email to team@emuvc.com!

Last year we lost our 15-year-old dog, Garcia, and our 16-year-old cat, Marley — both of whom we had since they were babies. They truly grew old together. Garcia passed first, and then a few months later we had to say goodbye to Marley. It was an incredibly difficult year for our family.

Enchanted Mountain helped us through Marley’s final moments, and I cannot say enough about how compassionate and respectful they were. Every single person we encountered was genuinely kind, patient, and caring. Their empathy was sincere, not scripted, and they supported us through one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make. The beautiful memorial care package they gave us afterward means so much to our family and will help us remember our sweet Marley for years to come.

We’ve also taken our golden doodle there for emergency treatment, and once again had a wonderful experience. I love the convenience of having them right here in town, and their care was thorough and professional. There were no surprise charges — everything was explained clearly upfront so we knew exactly what to expect before treatment began.

I would 100% recommend Enchanted Mountain to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care for their beloved fur babies.

And honestly… if you’re not taking your pets here, do you really even love them? 🤷🏼‍♀️💙

R Williams (January 2026)

As I type through teary eyes, I just want to say how phenomenal they are at taking care of our deceased loved ones. They took extra special care of our big girl on her final transition to the yard in the sky. They met with us on a day that they were closed and still took care of us and cared about our feelings. From the kind words in the card to the thought and care that went into the keepsake paw print. I will never forget my experience with them. Thank You Enchanted Mountains

Tenisha Myszka (June 2026)

We brought our beloved cat to Enchanted Mountains Veterinary Hospital because she wasnt feeling too well. We were beyond worried. Dr. Gies came in, told us what was wrong, and immediately talked about treatment options. We are forever grateful euthanasia wasn’t the first option.

Unfortunately after talking it over with my husband, we decided we didn’t want her to suffer anymore. Kit Kat will forever be in our hearts. I just want to say thank you to all the staff there. You guys were extremely kind when our hearts were breaking. We appreciate it more than anything.

Sarah James (October 2025)

Three years ago our soul dog was experiencing some very scary and concerning symptoms. We took her to Enchanted Mountain Urgent Care and after some test results we discovered some heartbreaking news. Dr. Gies delivered this news with such compassion and grace as if our dog was a member of her own family. That was one of the hardest days of my life, but Dr. Gies and the staff at Enchanted Mountain Urgent Care really went above and beyond to provide the best care and support for our girl and our family. Highly recommended this veterinary practice!

Abbie MacWilliams (January 2026)

I haven’t visited Enchanted Mountain Veterinary Clinic personally, but if my regular vet can’t see my fur babies, I would absolutely bring them here. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things from family and friends who’ve used their services. Their experiences give me confidence that the clinic provides compassionate, reliable, and high‑quality care. I trust Enchanted Mountain to look after my most loved fur babies and would recommend them to anyone seeking a caring veterinary team in Olean, NY.

J Grabowski (January 2026)

Professional and compassionate care. Staff was prompt, quickly took our dog after she lost a fight with a porcupine and needed quills removed from her face. Pre-check in was very helpful in getting her seen quickly and staff was upfront about potential wait times. We were in and out within an hour with details on what to look for for any potential complications. I would absolutely return or recommend to anyone in need of care for their pet.

Anne C. (April 2026)

It has been some time since our visit, last minute on the weekend, to have one of our fur babies put to sleep. My experience with the staff, their kind understanding and friendliness during a heart wrenching time was amazing. I would not want to go back for that reason itself, but if I ever found myself in that situation again, I would not hesitate to return to Enchanted Mountain. Thank you all so much for your warm compassion.

Stacey White (May 2026)

We had to take out Hudson there, for an emergency, they took us right in, Dr. Gies examined him and came out and talked to us on some of the possibilities that could be going on, she gave us a couple options, she gave him an antibiotic and a nose spray,Dr Gies was very compassionate. And if he gets worse we will take him back to see the Doctor. The office girls are amazing also ! It was definitely worth the 45 min drive.

Jackie (March 2026)

Called on Sunday because my naughty corgis got into the garbage and ate 15-20 grapes.. I wasn’t sure if it was one or both of them. They were already busy but thankfully agreed to bring them in and induce vomiting. The culprit was found (Mila, left), but unfortunately due to the uncertainty with grape ingestion they recommended hospitalization for IV fluids and kidney function monitoring for 2 days. The staff were beyond amazing – they called local animal hospitals to see if they could take her, they called poison control for me, and made sure the records from their office were sent. We ended up taking her to Blue Pearl in Buffalo and she was able to come home 48 hours later with no issues! I will be forever thankful for them helping me though an uncertain time.

Katlin Sikes (February 2026)

We cannot thank EMUVC enough for the excellent care they provided for our sweet little Ginger. Although we knew she didn’t have a lot of time left, she seemed happy enough to make the trip to Steuben County from our new home in Florida for a visit. Sadly, she took a sudden turn for the worse on Saturday. There are no emergency clinics in the area so we drove to Olean. We could not have made a better choice. The doctor and staff were so kind and loving to our fur baby that she had a wonderful send off. Our hearts are breaking but we are so thankful for the care she received. 💔❤️💔

Rebecca Shick (April 2026)

After not getting any answers at four vet visits with two different vets over the last three weeks, I brought my dog to Enchanted Mountains Urgent Veterinary Care.

While I didn’t get the answer I was hoping for, I at least got an answer about what was wrong with her that allowed me to make an informed decision and do what was best for my dog.

Dr. Gies was incredibly kind, compassionate, and understanding about how hard this was for me and took every step to make sure both my dog and I were comfortable.

I could not recommend them more.

Lynn Brennan (July 2025)

Dr. Gies has been just amazing, in the unfortunate times we’ve needed to see them. She helped our boys out when it was after hours, and/or a time where their regular vet was unable to assist us.

She was the only one to help our biggest rescue during his first few months of life with us. No other vet could stabilize him, but with one visit, Dr. Gies was able to stabilize his body, fix his recurrent UTI, GI upset and other things that were going on.

She’s helped our smallest rescue when he wasn’t feeling well before. When he broke his nail there (between leaving the back and getting into my car) they immediately went to helping my dog, and brought him back to Dr. Gies, they never expected me to cover any extra time/treatment needed from this.

Each visit they’ve called us back and checked in on our animals in the following days. And that truly means so much.

They truly care about the animals they serve and go above and beyond for the animals and their humans.

Aurora Dee (January 2026):

I cannot recommend Enchanted Mountain Urgent Veterinary Care enough. I was unable to get into my regular vet to have my cat put to sleep when it was time and had to go see them. They made me feel so comforted and eased him in his last moments. They also sent a VERY thoughtful sympathy card that was much appreciated. Everyone was very kind and caring. 🫶

Danielle Keesler (December 2025):

Matt Tyssee (January 2026):

Katie and the team at EMUVC are incredible. Going in knowing it’s an URGENT care, we knew we were going to spend more money than our vet, but having the option to use them for our pups has been amazing. They have treated all four of our dogs at different times now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the communication, the professionalism, and the care they utilize toward us and our pups. I would trust them any day or night for my urgent vet care needs!

Kayla Bailey (March 2026):

I was so grateful for them to see my dog so quickly! I was in and out in an hour and they did not do any unnecessary testing like a lot of emergency vets seem to do. They were very honest about everything and the prices were extremely reasonable! Working at a vet clinic myself we have always recommended them to our clients when we were unable to get them in but now having first hand experience I feel even more confident referring ppl to them!

Rachel Salitsky (June 2025):

I called from an hour away on a Friday at 4:30 and they basically told me they could see my boy as soon as we could get there. The preregistration process is so easy and such a great idea. I love that they only have one pet in the lobby at a time as my guy is mouthy sometimes. Every staff member we encountered was kind. The vet we saw was phenomenal. We had an in depth, thorough discussion about the care he needed in the moment as well as once he was home. I will absolutely be singing their praises to anyone that will listen.

Kaylee Taylor (January 2026):

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. My first visit was for one of my pet rats. I had called a couple places and was turned away because of lack of experience. I will never forget how scared I felt for my furry friend, who was struck quickly with a respiratory illness, and for rats, an illness can quickly become deadly because of their fast metabolisms.

I came into EMUVC with hope in my heart and my little buddy snuggled into my husbands vest. We received nothing but pure compassion, and the same attention and courtesy that they would’ve given any other animal. Luckily because of Dr. Geiss’s practice and education. She was able to help us.

I am extremely grateful to the entire staff and facility for offering animal services in an area that is desperately in need. The area has had one vet clinic retire and another local vet is old and no longer can offer many types of life saving care to animals.

And to the people retaliating and leaving negative reviews solely because of her political views, SHAME ON YOU. The beauty of our constitutional rights is that we are allowed to vote whatever party we see fit. This is a fantastic and professional vet clinic with high quality care.

Kyle Tyssee (January 2026):

Katie and the team at EMUVC have been great every time. Urgent care is never cheap, but having a place you can truly rely on when something comes up makes all the difference. They’ve treated all four dogs at different points, and each visit has been handled with clear communication, professionalism, and genuine care. It’s reassuring to know there’s a team that can be trusted any time, day or night, when urgent vet care is needed.

Laurie Haskins (November 2025):

This place has been AMAZING time after time. There are times I would like this place to be my normal vet. The vet and her team are so thorough and upfront. They don’t push anything on you but give you the options first you to decide. I have been here with different pets for various reasons, even to say goodbye to my beloved Siamese cat. I can’t say enough good about this team.

Shelby Grimmer (September 2025):

I can’t begin to my gratitude into words for this clinic. They went above and beyond. I brought my sweet girl in to get euthanized..one of the hardest things any pet owner has to do. Their kindness and compassion is unmatched. Not to mention, the care and detail that they put into this bag that includes this intricate wooden box for her ashes. 5 stars doesn’t cover it at all. I am so grateful that I was recommended to them.

Tim (January 2026):

Katie and her staff is truly committed to the care of animals and her community! I had to take my dog and puppy there and she was fast and knowledgeable, explained everything to me and was so compassionate! This business supports the arts, donates to so many events and non-profits… not only taking care of animas but the community!

Dana Hansen (November 2024):

We drove an hour and 45 minutes to get there.

We got right in.

We brought our beautiful Kitty in for a severe breathing issue, not knowing it was the last time we would get to see her.

Unfortunately, we had to make the hardest decision as we did not want her suffering because of her condition. The vet and staff/team were so kind and compassionate. They explained everything and reassured us of our decisions. While I I couldn’t even hold myself together, they just listened with the utmost care. I’m glad my husband was able to be with her in her final moments. I appreciate everything they did and giving us the privacy we needed before, during, and after. They made us some beautiful paw prints, a nose print and made sure we got some of our baby’s fur as a keepsake. A week later we also received a lovely card and it meant a lot to us. While the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, I am grateful to them for everything they did for us and our sweet Kitty.

Haleigh Larson (October 2024):

My first experience with Enchanted Mountain was today, and while the outcome was less than favorable, the staff were above and beyond amazing. Shelby came into my care 3 days ago in very rough shape. The doctor made me aware that she supported whatever decision I make and was very understanding. From front to back staff, everyone was superb. They gave me all the time I needed to cry and cuddle Shelby and say my goodbyes. We are very fortunate to have an AMAZING emergency vet so close to us. I would recommend them to any pet owner in case of an emergency

Rhonda (January 2026):

Excellent, friendly service! The Dr.and staff were so helpful and made us feel comfortable while providing our pet with the utmost, compassionate care! So glad this place exists!

Hannah Nelson (May 2025)

Absolutely amazing vet and staff. They were quick and thorough helping my kitty Mew. She wasn’t eating or going to the bathroom and I knew she needed to be seen. They got me in as soon as they opened, did some X-rays and explained the possibilities of what was going on. We opted to give her IV fluids and a recheck xray at the end of the night to see if things were moving. Sure enough, when I went to pick her she was already looking much better. Once we got home she was going to the bathroom and eating again! Cannot thank everyone there enough for their compassion and friendliness to me and my kitty. (Pics because she’s a cutie)

Christie Brook (January 2026):

I highly recommend the services provided by Enchanted Mountains Urgent Veterinary Care! They have compassionate caring and highly knowledgeable staff that fill a large void in veterinary care in our community. My pets and I have experienced nothing but tremendous care and kindness by Dr. Gies and her staff.

Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eric McKean (December 2025):

We took our dog there after he took a quick turn for the worse and our vet wasn’t open. We had to say goodbye, but the doctors and staff were very kind and accommodating to us and made the process as easy as it could be.

Pamina Abkotiwz (January 2026):

I called and the staff were so helpful! I was worried about my cat and everyone I talked to was kind and understanding. I ended up not needing to bring him in, but I absolutely will in the future. My brother brought his dog here when he visited and they loved the care he got!

Jeana Martelle (February 2025):

Nothing but good things to say about this clinic! We got right in and the wait time wasn’t bad at all! Very compassionate, caring staff when the news they had to give me wasn’t good news. I am thankful as I was able to spend 18 wonderful days with my boy from diagnoses to when he had to be laid to rest ❤️ and I know my old boy was thankful for you too!

Jessica Hanson (August 2025):

My family would like to thank EMV for being so kind!

We unfortunately had to put our kitty Marbles down last Friday due to kidney failure, we were devastated of course. The staff and doctor took the time to explain everything that was going to happen and let us have as much time as we needed to be with her. They didn’t rush us out and each staff member was very compassionate, the doctor was amazing and very caring. This evening we received a sympathy card from EMV and we appreciate the thought that went into the card. I highly recommend this place and appreciated how good they were with our sweet angel.

Janelle Lockwood (September 2023):

I really appreciated the actual urgency of this place, the staff, and the steps they take to be efficient. As a first time pup mom, I had what I “thought” was an emergency with my 9 week old puppy (thought better safe than sorry). I filled out the -very convenient- online intake form very early in the morning, and they got my pup in right when they opened at 10am.

Initial exam was done, and Sarah assured me everything was okay but offered to do x-rays (and stated pricing right there) just to be sure. She showed me the x-rays and explained everything to me. 3 days later and Morty is back to being his handsome self (and thanks you for the cheez whiz) 😊

Christina Murray (September 2025):

Very caring an understanding I had my dog Jax they’re for surgery where they remove the huge mass which was cancerous broader home hoping for the best but it didn’t happen how to take her yesterday afternoon and sadly the best option was to helper over the rainbow bridge. They allowed me to be with her before and I was able to hold her what I could as she passed. I thank God for people like this place

Nunya Buiznez (August 2024):

It has taken me a bit to be able to leave a review, I’m missing my boy so bad. My husband and I were frantic to get our boy Superbad into an emergency vet and get him in fast. Little did I know I was going to lose him just a few hours later. When I called and could barely speak through the tears, I was greeted with compassion and understanding. We were told to come right in. It was an hour drive and my mind was racing. We walked in and immediately took our boy back to be evaluated. Everyone at that office was kind, respectful, caring and so so much more. I felt comfortable and eased. We had to make the toughest decision of our lives and let our boy go. I won’t go into details as I emotionally cannot handle that yet. It all happened so fast. I couldn’t wrap my head around any of it. We spent some time with Superbad to say our goodbyes. The veterinarian was compassionate and helped us help our pup through the process. I’ll never forget the kindness and understanding that we received that day. I lost a huge piece of my heart that day and they made it just a little easier to get through it.

Russell Schonekas (January 2026):

Dr. Gies has been wonderful whenever I had even a minor question. She has been a steadfast guardian of animals for decades and is without a doubt the best veterinarian I’ve ever used. I only with I could rate her more highly.

Todd Whitcher (April 2025):

I want to thank the doctor and staff at enchanted mountain urgent care. I thought I was losing my baby. After about a hour, they had a diagnosis , gave me a prescription, and after 3 days, she’s back to her Ole sassy self again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you 😊

Heather App Lindamer (November 2025):

I cannot say enough great things about Enchanted Mountains Urgent Veterinary Care. My 12 year old Frenchie, Bogey had blood in his urine and his regular veterinarian couldn’t get him in. The staff and Dr. Gies were so kind and took great care of Bogey! We are so lucky to have a place like this in our area.

Chrissy Otto (October 2025):

I was so grateful for the compassionate care I received from the staff and Dr. at Enchanted Mountain Veterinary Care in a very difficult time. I appreciated the handwritten card they sent me as well after the sudden loss of my boy…I was so thankful .. they were there for me.

Linda Moss (October 2024):

I will never go anywhere else. It first visited when my Spooky had mobility problems. I knew the possible outcomes but was so helped. I had 6 more weeks with her and they were wonderful when I made the decision. You are so compassionate and made this so less traumatic. I would never go anywhere else.

Delaney (October 2024):

Absolutely wonderful place. We took our sweet girl Mia after she had passed and the compassion and care that was shown towards us when we were parting with our baby was something that had eased our minds. we had also gotten a letter in the mail and it meant the world to us that she was in good hands after we had to leave her for the last time ever. our hearts will forever be missing a piece without her.

Kaitlyn Ader (March 2024):

Absolutely amazing staff. Took my cat Nala there when she was throwing up for a few days and they found a hairball blockage. They gave my cat surgery, removed the blockage and now my cat is getting back to her normal self. Definitely recommend to have them take care of any pet emergency!

Brenda Crossley (September 2024):

Absolutely wonderful. My experience was superb. After calling every vet around and being denied any help. I finally found you. I rustle 2 children all day and they were so accommodating to me. I am so glad I was referred here. Again they are absolutely wonderful. They splinted my dogs leg. And so affordable. I was just in awe of the entire place and staff. Again just wonderful

Alexa (September 2025):

We have a great vet that travels to our home however with an emergency last week we found our vet urging us to visit Enchanted Mountain for scans. I see a lot of people giving poor reviews, which saddens me. When our pets are ill and in need of attention I find peace of mind in knowing Enchanted Mountain Urgent Care is there while most offices won’t see you unless you’re an existing patient.

Our outcome for our pup wasn’t what we had hoped for but the staff and the doctor were so attentive and understanding. Our situation ended on a sad note, but the compassion we received will be remembered ❤️

TC (September 2025):

9/26 I came to this place for the first time and Dr. Dodge. The veterinarian was the Vet that helped me and my cat Apollo.. He’s 14 years old and I woke up and found his lower jaw, really swollen.. It was really scary! My vet was closed so I ended up having him seeing him here.. He was prescribed antibiotics and pain meds . They were kind enough to make them liquid form for easier administration… Before I retired, I practice veterinary technology/nursing so I knew this could be a bad situation for my cat.. as of today 9/28.. The swelling has reduced considerably and I’m so relieved! He is eating the canned cat food really well!! All of the staff there were exceptional. I was a gentleman named Ash and the doctor and all the staff whose names I unfortunately didn’t get there was a young lady receptionist that was very sweet… Thank you Dr. Dodge so much for helping my Apollo!! You are a very nice lady and a great veterinarian!! Sincerely, Terri Czwojdak ❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾

Jake (December 2022):

These folks are incredible. I had to put my dog to sleep (suspected brain tumor causing seizures). From the moment I walked in they were caring and made the whole process extremely comfortable. They took us to a room that was like a room in a house. Nothing like any vet I’ve ever seen. No tables, no bright lights, just like we were in our own comfortable living room. I can’t say thank you enough or explain how grateful I am for them and I won’t go to anybody else. If I could rate 10 stars I would.

Kelsey French (December 2022):

Thank you all so much for your kindness and great care for our Moose when it was his time to say goodbye. My wife told me just how caring you all were. We received the paw print, hair and card you sent yesterday.

Mich Jenn (October 2022):

The entire staff was fast kind and compassionate in helping with rocky. I highly recommend. My sweet Rocky was in so much pain from his back injury. They were quick and efficient to ease his pain and get him on the road to recovery. Thank you 🙏🏻!!!

He is recovering amazingly.

Tawnee Sky (April 2025):

Spud was missing for 6 days in the woods and he finally found his way back home. We took him to enchanted mountain to get checked over and we had a great experience. Thank you all!

Lindsay Labella (August 2025):

Dog tangled with a porcupine first thing in the morning and we aren’t from the area. Was so happy to see someplace close that had urgent care for dogs. They were highly professional took her right in and we’re very courteous and informative on everything I needed to do for her follow up. Yes, there’s a cost to this kind of service but happy to pay it for the quality care that I received. Thank you very much.

Michelle Wright (February 2025):

Yesterday we had the unfortunate experience of finding our dog vomiting blood. Our usual Vet is not open on Mondays.

I called Enchanted Mountains, emergency vet, and was told that I could come in. When asked, I was told the approximate costs of preliminary testing and also given the name of a few other emergency vets similar distance from us (over an hour).

When we got there, the staff was so compassionate and attentive. They worked quickly to assess the situation and came out to talk to us several times to talk about their findings. Everything was explained very clearly, and I was shown compassion over my worry about costs, as I am currently unemployed. While we were there, there were several dogs brought in that I think we’re in very serious shape, and every animal and human companion was treated with utmost care.

Overall, I was very impressed with the speed with which they diagnosed our dog and treated him. I was relieved to have everything explained to me very clearly and repeated. The vet that we saw had very calming energy and helped me feel better through the process.

Our dog appears to be recovering well from his boat with pancreatitis. While emergency vet care is never cheap, I feel like the price was reasonable for services rendered. I am glad we brought him in and got him treated and I would recommend them to anyone else looking for an emergency vet.

Larry Gibson (November 2025):

Dr Geis and staff were so kind and caring when I took my pup in for treatment. We are very fortunate to have this great service to have in Olean.

Amanda Wielkie (May 2025):

Enchanted mountain was there when even our actual vet was not. Our poor poot passed on a Saturday early morning while we were asleep. Of course this was most devastating and having a younger child in the home we had to do something In a timely manner. We called many places probably 4 or 5 including our normal vet. Not open or oh go here or there. We called enchanted mountain and they were most nice and understanding and caring. Said we coukd come right then. Took care of everything when we arrived and provided amazing caring service. And not to mention it took less than a week for us to receive the beautiful box with our baby back and the paw print imprint was amazing and touched our hearts greatly! So thank you enchanted mountain for all you do!

Laura Johnson (April 2025):

This has taken me a while to write a review. We took our Brutus there (3-20-25) due to swelling in his groin, leg, and into his lower ribs, was throwing up and not acting himself. We rushed him there to a little past 5:30PM and thankfully they excepted our late arrival. We carried our very sick little old man into the vet where they scooped him up and we recieved the worst news that it was his time to let him go. They were very patient with us, talked us through the proceedure and brought our old puppers back in. They gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes and hold him through the proceedure and stay with him as long as we wanted.

They did my pup proud, we had him cremated so we could have cremaines and bring him home to rest beside his brother in all but blood. They were wonderful with us during our last good byes! Thank You for helping us through this difficult time and really appreciated the kind words and talking us through the process. Thank You, so much for being caring, compassionate and understanding!

Laura and Brutus!

Leonor Farfan (August 2025):

We had a 7 week old kitten who had been ill take a turn for the worse. I was met with care and compassion every step of the way, the staff doing everything they could to help. A week later, we received a condolence card with a very kind hand-written note. Losing a family member is never easy, but EMUVC made it easier than it could have been. I can’t thank them, or recommend them, enough.

Darlene B (June 2025):

These are some wonderful people. Had a sick kitty and they got her in to be seen as soon as possible. They were empathetic, polite, and just great. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Separate areas for cats and dogs. Couldn’t recommend more. Thanks you all!

Colin Beck (January 2025):

I had to bring my cat in for a potential urinary blockage through a snowstorm to get here but it was so worth it.The staff were all wonderful from the phone call, to the text check ins during the drive through lake effect snow, to the front desk and care itself. Phenomenal service and you can tell they love what they do and they do it with the utmost professionalism and kindness. The price for care was also extremely reasonable! Highly recommend! Thank you so much for saving Mr.!

Amanda Howe (November 2025):

Top notch care and service on a Sunday for our kitty who had been struck by a car. Invaluable service for the area.

Kim Spry (February 2024):

My English Bulldog was attacked by two dogs while we were walking on a public trail. The entire team at Enchanted Mountains Urgent Care was so caring and compassionate. They saved Petunia’s life!

Dana Shelters (August 2025):

Woke up in a Saturday morning our boy was listless and whining. Called and filled out forms on the drive there. Very short wait once we arrived . Doc clearly explained diagnosis and treatment. Followed up with regular vet on Monday all info was transferred. One week later our boy is BACK! Very well run organized business. Yes , maybe a bit pricey but expected. Highly recommend!

Ruby Horning (June 2024):

Clean environment, and friendly staff. Dr. Gies is compassionate and knowledgeable in what she does; she was very thorough explaining my cat’s diagnosis and what to do post-visit. I was informed of the prices of tests, exams, and medications, which were only administered when I gave confirmation. Perhaps the prices may seem high, however, it is an urgent care. Their prices are not unlike other urgent care facilities. If your pet has an emergency, I’d recommend this place. I’m personally very glad I took my cat here, he’s already feeling much better! 😺

Karina (February 2025):

The team and vets are the nicest people. We had to go twice for unfortunately events and they saw our kitty right away. She was always taken care of with quick tests and results and they explained all our options. They were very empathetic, accommodating, and patient when we had to put our kitty to sleep. I will be forever grateful for this team ❤️🙏🏼🐈‍⬛

Tiphany Wagner (November 2024):

I went in the later part of the afternoon after calling with a worrisome situation. When I got there they immediately took my dog from me and brought him to the back, (I didn’t like that part at first but I’m grateful they got to him right away and I understand it’s an emergency room and not a vet) got him checked out and came out to tell me what they think is going on and the price for the test they wanted to run.

After the test she explained the results, told me he needs surgery asap and a few places I could call.

I’m so grateful that we have this place in our area and I’m grateful for the staff working there who knew so much and acted with care.

For the surgery I ended up going to Blue Pearl emergency vet in Buffalo which is also going to get a 5 star for their knowledgeable staff, professionalism and friendliness. Hope this helps!

Barb Mackey (September 2025):

This is a wonderful place..Took Our daughters dog in to have her put asleep after having seizures all night..Everyone there where very caring and professional, also the fee was very reasonable..Highly recommend them…

Keith Campbell (February 2025):

The compassion that they showed me was second to none. I sadly needed their services for an emergency when my own vet wouldn’t even see my pet. They were amazing from the first phone call and through the entire process! I hope you share with your team this review because EVERYONE that I encountered at your office was amazing! Thank you for caring during a very difficult time!!!! Nothing but top notch with this vet!!! THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!

Monti Crowley (December 2024):

We recently had to put down our beloved 15 year old kitty and the entire staff could not have been more kind and compassionate. As difficult as it was, Winston passed peacefully thanks to the doctor. We even got a sweet sympathy card today from them yesterday. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Taylor Clark (November 2023):

I am up visiting from Virginia and my dog was having some issues that landed us at Enchanted Mountain. If I could give ten stars I would. Every single person in this building was welcoming and caring. The atmosphere was calm as well as the folks inside. They were attentive and loving to my dog, Roux, like she was their own. I can’t put until words how appreciative I am of this place. This is how every vets office & emergency vet should operate. It’s very rare that you walk into a place and everyone seems to actually want to do their job and is doing so well. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart! Thanks for providing care to my girl.

Stacey Ours (January 2025):

Wonderful staff. They came right out with a gurney to help us get our sweet Amber inside. Everyone was so compassionate and kind with us. Unfortunately, our Amber had to be put to sleep due to a huge mass. They talked with us and gave us as much time as we needed to say our good-bye.

Heather B (October 2023):

When my 15 year old puppy had reached the end of her life, we had the hard decision to put her down so she was on longer suffering. From the time I called and spoke to the very kind receptionist to when she took her last breath, the people at Enchanted Mountain Vet care were so kind. Pets are not just pets but are family and they truly understand and have compassion every part of the unbearable decision we have to make.

Then 4 days later we get a card in the mail from EMUVC. It was a hand written letter explaining how sorry they were we lost our puppy. Included were details of stories and details we had shared with the staff through out the process. It is great to have a urgent vet clinic in our area but we are blessed to have one with staff that are as wonderful and caring as they are.

Lauren Elliott (May 2022):

This place is great. They saved my girl’s life. She is at Orchard Park currently but gets to come home soon. The staff here is super friendly and to you and you pets. Im so thankful for them!

Janelle Nolan (December 2024):

Dr. Geis, Dr. Sarah, and all of the vet techs, as well as the office staff are amazing! They are compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. It is never easy dealing with an ailing pet or two simultaneously! Yet, they were there for us. Their practice reached out to us, via text, to follow up on our Max and Chief, several times following their discharge. They gave us peace of mind and help when we needed it most! Enchanted Mountains Urgent Veterinary Care is a valuable asset to our region! ~ The Nolans

Jen Stolt (June 2024):

We have been to this veterinary hospital twice now due to our dog getting porcupine quills in her at our camp in Alfred. Both times we have been impressed with their clean and lovely facility, the professionalism of the staff, the urgency and care with which they have handled the situations, and the medical care provided. We actually drove here over another veterinary emergency facility that was a little closer because we just felt our dog was in far better hands here. Highly recommend!!!

April Dahlke (May 2022):

If I could give ALL of you at this clinic a million and one stars I would! You were all absolutely amazing, kind, and compassionate when we brought in our Macy Grace. We knew we would not be bringing her home and you made a very difficult time for her and us the most peaceful. She was an amazing member of our family and the heartfelt sympathy card you sent only shows, you got the essence of our Macy in just the short time you knew her. Thank you for the most peaceful passing. We couldn’t have asked for better care and compassion this past Sunday. So fortunate for our community to be blessed with all of you. Thanks for all you did. ❤️

Jamel Burney (December 2023):

Unfortunately we had to put our dog Shelby down. This vet was AWESOME from start to finish. The process was not fun at all. But the respect and kindness the doctor showed really touched me and made it easier. All around great caring people also we received seeds to plant in our sweet girls memory as well as a sympathy card. Thank you guys. I along with the family appreciate you.

Jenny Lenze (June 2023):

Friendly staff, decent pricing considering you’re going for “emergency” reasons, quick service, etc.

When all local vets were closed or completely booked on a Saturday, I was referred to Enchanted Mountains for my 5 month old puppy that I believed had a UTI.

In less than an hour, we were walking out the door with an antibiotic and she was improving within 24 hours. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thanks for the great care! 🐾

Jennifer Norgrove (April 2025)

I had brought my cat Owen in for an emergency exam. The entire staff was caring and fast to get Owen right in. He did need surgery for an obstruction. I was a nervous wreck and the staff was very caring and were wonderful with Owen. I would highly recommend!

Kayla Wenz (November 2023)

I recently had to put my best friend down, kano was the best dog I could’ve ever asked for and making the decision to put him to rest was the hardest thing I’ll ever have had to do. This team has been nothing but incredible and very compassionate to me and my family and most importantly Kano himself, I can never thank them enough for all the compassion they showed us and for going above and beyond to provide comfort to us in this hard time. They truly care and think of the pets first.

Michael Skaggs (August 2024)

I am extremely satisfied with how quickly they got us in. They are very kind and compassionate about our situation. I was also surprised how affordable it was. Given this is an emergency vet clinic I expected to pay significantly more than I did but in my opinion, the prices were extremely reasonable for the speed and care provided. Thank you!

Keegan Rowland (May 2024)

My fiance and I took our 5 year old German Shepered this morning.

I got to say… this was one of the best vet experiences I have ever had. I have dealt with a bunch of vets lol. ALL of the staff was very friendly. The techs loved Parker and him being dramatic and registration was so nice. The doctor sat in the room, and spoke with us as if we were her only patient. She answer all of our questions and explained things so well. From the start, there was no pushing for more test or expensive work ups. I preregistered and they had us in literally as soon as they opened. No wait. It was amazing how fast paced they were! They were very informative and kept us updated!

Now the part everyone worries about… price. The entire time I was preparing myself to spend at minimum $1,000.. NOPE… the bill was less then $410. That included; Emergency Exam, Tick Borne Disease Test, Kidney Function test, and medications. I would highly recommend them. OH AND if he doesn’t get better, they will see him again within the week without recharging exam fees.

No they didn’t give us the greatest news… but it wasn’t terrible. I am happy it’s treatable and he can be a happy pup again!

Parkie Eugene tested positive for two of the three tick borne diseases; Lymes and Anaplasmosis. Luckily he is very dramatic and started showing signs early, so it was caught before it effected his kidneys. They got him on some pain meds and antibiotics, to get him good as new!

Thank you so much for everything!

Mike Moll (January 2023)

Found them online as the only open emergency center available from our location while traveling, so first our visit and under stressful circumstances. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient in getting us checked in. It was a very short wait for my dog to be seen for a deep laceration on her paw pad even though we were not the only people there. Butter was treated extremely gently and the entire staff made her as comfortable as possible from start to finish. Clean office and reasonable prices with coffee to boot!

Alan Freeman (June 2024):

Dr.Gies was awesome in helping with our 3yr old Pomsky multiple times over the last couple weeks. She did everything she could but we ultimately had to move him to orchard park for 24hr care per her recommendations. She was great with communication and explaining everything that was going on, and also was great with allowing us to text the office to receive updates about our boy. Thank you enchanted mountain for helping us with our boy.

Lori Harding (April 2023):

The office staff was extremely polite made the whole process very comforting. when I brought my dog into the office she was calm and walked right away from us with the staff like she knew she was going to be ok. They called me when the procedure was complete and made sure we understood the discharge plan. Definitely will use them again and recommend them to anyone that needs there pets needs taken care of.

Dilan Gilluly (December 2024):

A good service to have for people in the surrounding rural communities who hire housecall vets who don’t have the resources to run bloodwork or to do imagery.

The facilities were clean, also free coffee was offered to me, and despite the circumstances which my visit turned into once the bloodwork was in about an hour after I arrived, all staff involved made the decision and process of euthanizing my beloved Butterscotch as tolerable as it can be. They respected and accommodated my decision to be with her as she was euthanized.

They were very straight forward with showing me the results, which made making the decision a lot easier (the kidney disease values were A LOT higher than normal ranges). For aftercare, I decided on private cremation which is where the ashes are picked up by the owner at the clinic, due to not being in the condition to break frozen ground after having surgery myself.

The company they work with for end-of-life aftercare services is Resting Acres Pet Cemetery. They seem to be really good too and sent a long and compassionate condolences email with the link to make an account on their memorial management system, which hosts a memorial of your pet for three months. And allows you to buy necklaces with a small portion of cremains, upgrade urns, and edit the memorial page.

Lindsey Marowski (February 2024):

We recently had to come in on a Sunday, to try to see what was going on with our dog. They treated us with compassion, from beginning till the end, on what was one of the hardest days of our lives. Sadly we were unable to bring him home with us, but they gave us time to be with our dog in his last moments. I will highly recommend them to anyone in my friends and family that needs an emergency vet service.

Parker Page (February 2024):

on February 23rd, I had to take my cat in to be checked on, and even though it was too late for him, they were absolutely phenomenal and wonderful through the entire process. They were caring, patient, and overall amazing. I am so thankfully for everything they did for me and my cat. Even though I had to say goodbye to him, I am forever thankful for everything they did, so thank you.

ErinBryanna (May 2024):

Brought my 6 week old kitten in for a UTI and possible blockage. They were quick to get us in, they answered any and all questions and answered them honestly. Need to bring a urine sample back tomorrow. But tonight my little guy is home with antibiotics for under 200$. They were incredibly kind, and patient as well. The office was clean, and they had water coffee and quiet relaxing waiting room. Best emergency vet I have been to in the area. We aren’t sure what’s going on with little guy, hopefully just a UTI. But the doctor was honest about what she was seeing, and that she wasn’t sure because they couldn’t get a urine sample. I’m glad I brought Whitey to them.

Barbarann Symes (September 2024):

The doctor was wonderful when I bought my Oliver to be sent to furbabie Heaven. She sat down talking To myself and Oliver ,talking to me while she gave Oliver the shots, plus she gave me plenty of time to spend with Oliver. If I was going to get another dog(but I will never get another one) she would be my dog doctor

Amie Acton (May 2025):

So glad to have a place in WNY that provides good urgent care service without having to go to Rochester or Buffalo! Wonderful office, easy to find, open and affirming, excellent staff. I can’t say enough good things about them

Kim Kruse (February 2023):

Enchanted mountain urgent care is top-notch. We had to make the decision to put our 15 year old dog down, and the vet and staff were so professional and kind. It is a horrible thing to go through, but the staff was so understanding and supported us in this decision. I just received a sympathy card from them, and it was beautiful. They are a class act.

Ariel (May 2024):

I traveled about an hour and a half seeking help for my kitty. She was incessantly squating and leaving puddles of blood. I didn’t want to wait, as she had an abdominal procedure elsewhere about 9 days prior and I was concerned what I was seeing could be a complication rather than a simple UTI. I called ahead, filled out the intake form, and called as I arrived in the parking lot. I was able to take my girl right in and they immediately took her back to see the doctor. The facility was quite busy, but very efficient. They had two receptionists taking payments. I saw several techs buzzing around, and it seemed they even had someone responsible for managing the facility and flow. Overall, I think we spent an hour and 15 minutes there. The doctor did a basic exam, came out and recommended a ultrasound cysto and urinalysis. I didn’t wait long before I got the results, a load of information and recommendations, as well as medication to take home. We were quickly discharged and on our way home.

The facility is incredibly clean and everyone was very kind. Dr. Sarah was patient (I tend to ask a lot of questions) and thorough.

At 1.5 hours away, this is one of the only urgent or emergency facilities near me and I would not hesitate to go again if the need arose. The fact that they are open 7 days a week, even over the Easter holiday in my case, is wonderful. I’d love to see them recruit a third doctor and hold overnight hours as well.

Joseph Pellegrino (November 2023):

When our kitten, Howard, began acting funny, and didn’t improve after a visit to our local vet, I made the decision to take him to Enchanter Mountain for an emergency visit on a Sunday morning. From the second we got there to the second left, the level of professionalism show by the staff could not be more superior.

After an initial exam of Howard, the vet reviewed options with us every step of the way and even performed the emergency surgery right on the spot after X-Rays showed a blockage in his tummy. Safe to say, after the visit, Howard is back to his old self. Our experience, including the staffs interactions with other visitors that day, is worth 10 stars. Keep up the great work guys, you should be proud of the things you are doing!!

Kathy Welch (September 2023):

I had a sick cat the day before I was to leave for the weekend. (she hasn’t been sick at all in the 4 years I have had her – go figure!). Anyway, my regular vet couldn’t see her so I took her to the Enchanted Mountains Urgent Vet Clinic in Olean. What an amazing place it is! I give it not five, but 10 stars for incredibly convenient accessibility, great use of technology but most importantly, the staff were wonderful! I texted the number posted on the website and gave a description at 9:15, I received an immediate response. I filled out the online intake form and within a half hour I walked into the clinic. They took Baby right in, the doctor examined her and shortly thereafter Dr. Gies came out to talk to me and explain the problem, the options, the costs and recommended follow-up treatment. Problem solved! Dr. Katie Gies and her staff were amazing; they are efficient, incredibly professional, customer focused and the quality of care was second to none! I would not hesitate to take my pet back should the need arise.

Tracey Carnes (March 2023):

My boy was a rescue that was my roomie for a year. When I adopted him, I thought he had bad hips. It ended up being his back. I was sent home with a treatment plan for him, but it didn’t work, he actually worsened. Not the fault of the vet- I had to try. I made the decision no one wants to make, and brought him back. I was a train wreck and they were so compassionate. The whole process was so simple and accommodating. The tests were a bit pricy, but so is everything else in the world, and the treatment of my friend as well as me was so worth it. The cost of the euthanasia and cremation are no more than when I had my other boy of 14 yrs put down a couple of years ago. Hendrix’s cremains we’re returned in a beautiful hand carved box , along with his paw print. I received a beautiful handwritten card from the doctor. Thank you EMUVC!!

Paige Potter (June 2024):

While our story didn’t have a happy ending, we are so thankful that EMUVC’s staff helped us in helping our little Shakespeare (or as we always lovingly called him, Shakey) pass on. He was only 3 and had a stroke as per our primary vet, causing his back legs to stop working completely. He wanted us to take the weekend to see what we would want to do, but that same night – we just knew we couldn’t let him live like this. It was the most painful decision we have ever made in our lives.

I had never used EMUVC’s services before but when I texted them, they felt so sorry for our family and as we arrived, quickly took us all into a quiet, low lit room as we got out of our car. I am so glad we didn’t have to wait in the lobby as we were sobbing messes. They gave us as much time as we needed alone with him to say goodbye. The young girl at the front desk, who’s name I regretfully did not get, was very sweet, patient, and caring towards us while we were a complete sobbing mess.

Dr. Seiwert helped our Shakey pass on and we are very grateful to her for being so gentle with our feelings and especially with him – making sure to let him know he was doing a good job the entire time and treated him as if he were her own. Even when she took him away, she handled his body so carefully.

I thought it was important to mention that, overall, the experience of helping him pass on was as beautiful as it was painful – that was all we could have asked for. We are so thankful he never had to suffer and Dr. Seiwert made sure we knew that. Shakey was always a terrified boy, who would jump if you even breathed a little too loud, and I am so glad he got to pass on in a quiet, soothing room with his parents being the last thing he saw.

We will always treasure the keepsake items they gave us afterwards to remember Shakey – because we will definitely miss our sweet, goofy little guy for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much EMUVC.

Rebecca Morrissey (February 2024):

In a time of unexpected crisis, when the health of our beloved pets hangs in a delicate balance, the compassion, expertise, and swift action of a veterinary team can make all the difference. My recent experiences with Dr. Gies and team at EMUVC were nothing short of remarkable under circumstances that were as heart-wrenching as they were urgent.

My 17 1/2 -year-old cat, Socks, needed medical attention due to what appeared to be an asthma flare-up. Upon an unexpected Friday closure of our regular vet, we were fortuitously led to EMUVC. Dr. Gies’s sharp diagnostic skills quickly revealed a much graver condition, with Socks in a guarded state. She was very patient answering my many questions so I could make informed decisions for Socks’s care, and she was able to give him enough relief so I could spoil him at home for a final weekend and coordinate a peaceful, dignified goodbye with CodaPet for Sunday evening.

The emotional toll of in-home euthanasia was profound, yet the story didn’t end there. On Monday morning, I found myself back at EMUVC – this time, with Socks’s littermate, Gizmo, who was peeing blood. This was one of several UTIs she had over the past year, after never being prone to them prior. Despite the heartache of returning so soon under another cloud of worry, my trust in Dr. Gies’s diagnostic precision made it an easy choice. I left the appointment with answers and felt equipped with the resources I needed to best take care of Gizmo in her old age. She has been recovering well!

The ability to blend scientific rigor with compassionate care that prioritizes patients’ quality of life is a rare find in any medical profession. EMUVC makes it look easy. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Angela Koskoff (May 2024):

Of course on a holiday weekend our pup yelped coming down the stairs and then started to limp/be lame on her right hind leg. After going to their website I sent a text about half an hour before they opened and they were very communicative. They told me to fill out the online form and when we arrived we texted and were told to come in. The initial exam fee is exactly the same my regular vet would charge for an urgent/sick visit. They did an exam, asked for permission to run some bloodwork, and provided options for treatment. We were pretty confident it was a soft tissue injury so we got some pain meds for our pup and then were on our way for less than $250. I thanked them for making the experience as painless as possible and we love knowing we have this option should we need it.

Annabel May (December 2023):

Came here when my dog’s seasonal allergies just got to be too much for him. He is pretty skittish around people and HATES the vet. He screamed a lot and the people here didn’t judge him at all for it. They put us in a room to make him more comfortable while we waited to meet with a vet. I really appreciate their understanding of him and was glad to come to them. I will definitely come back if I have any more emergencies! Thank you guys!!

Missy Swanson (October 2024):

We found ourselves in need of emergency vet care for our family pet after coming home from work on a Friday evening. Our normal veterinarian was unavailable so we searched for somewhere open later and were blessed to find EMUVC. The staff were very kind, understanding, professional,

personable, and absolutely wonderful to us during a very difficult situation. They helped us decide the best course for our suffering pet. Afterwards, we even received a card in the mail with a personalized hand written message which meant a lot to us. We highly recommend EMUVC!
